Hello this is another vase in my box, looks quite fragile and I am quite surprised it’s not been damaged

      Steptoe1, Beautiful. :-)

Here's a similar piece by the same artist:

Linda Smith Kegworth Pottery - Oil Burner

      https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302446560433

This could be fairly old, because it appears to give directions in mileage (unless 1/m means 1/2 minute):

Thanks kerra I think it’s from the 60s/70s , I can’t remember but it is quite old, I had no idea what it was.

      Steptoe1, You're welcome. :-)

Disregard what I said about the directions possibly being in mileage a hint as to age.

Here's an amusing quora conversation about weights and measures in the United Kingdom:

      https://www.quora.com/Why-does-the-United-Kingdom-use-miles-instead-of-kilometers-Everything-else-is-based-on-the-metric-system-except-this-one-odd-measurement

      The short version:

This mixture has evolved over several decades and is second nature to us, but does mean when you ask “does the U.K. use imperial or metric?” the answer is “yes”.
