I'm kinda guessing this load might be the largest bunch I've ever acquired at the same time, usually its just a handful of single albums or a milk crate or 3 that aren't ever completely full. (because LP's *never* fit quite correctly in a standard milk crate...I wonder if they specifically designed those things that way...???)
I haven't yet really even had any chance at all to start looking through them but I'm betting the majority are classical music, likely with a larger than average amount of organ and choral music precisely, but there could be anything in there... ;-) ;-) ;-)
I also don't know for certain but would guess this bunch probably increases my total LP collection by maybe 1/4 to 1/3 more than before... ;-) ;-) ;-)
In pix 1+2 laying on the top stack Upside Down is one named Organ memories
Must’ve been somebody that was an organ donor ,,, Reminiscing a lost Organ
That’s a good one, MrVynil. :-)
I was an organ donor and I reminisce….but I like to imagine that little part of me is in Heaven with the man I gave it to….waiting for the rest of me; hope I deserve to go there. :^)
<lol>@ Vynil33! :-)
I'm honored that you'd choose to comment, given that YOU are the one around here that likely has the largest collection of records amongst us all???!!! <hat off><deep bow>
That ORGAN MEMORIES is a box set of 5 (iirc) LP's that was put out by Reader's Digest Magazine -- I do know that much offhand, since I've already owned and often played another copy of the set for many years now. Numerous different organists and instruments are featured and, indeed, a certain number of both would now be "no longer with us"...
