    1964 C-10 & 1977 Shortbox Chevy Trucks

**updated images to show the one piece window installation (no wing windows) and the custom LED strips with RF remote)**

Hope everyone had a great 4th! Some may have noticed that I've been absent lately. My daily driver got totaled.. And well...I've been playing with my new toy.

    MY OLD TRUCK
1964 C-10 ...383 stroker, gear drive, custom built Holley, th350 w/custom shift kit, Stans headers, 2 1/2" dual exhaust w/H-pipe and Flowmaster 40s, 12 bolt w/Eaton posi. I just installed a new TCI flexplate and starter. But awaiting disc brake conversion. Still sourcing a new steering box to complete the conversion. Currently has power steering out of a 1966.

    THE NEW TOY
    1977 Shortbox 454, gear drive, oval port heads, Th400 w/shift kit, 3" dual exhaust w/H-pipe, 12 bolt w/Eaton 3:73 posi

Just bought this..it's scary fast!...my newer Silverado LTZ got totaled a few weeks ago and the plan was to drive this for a bit and then flip it. But it's way too fun! Sorting out some cosmetic issues, like the fiberglass hood and roll pan. And some mechanical issues..a small leak in the timing chain cover. Bought from a fellow drag racer, so it's set up good.

Looks like fun!! [even if it is missing all the blue ovals that should be on a proper pickup, but whatever... ;-) ;-) ;-) ] Years ago I had an early 70's F-100 shortbed sport truck (w/shiny dark red candy metallic paint that cost my Dad a small fortune!) that got a 460 to replace its original 390 (I think?) but without all the other steering/suspension/tranny upgrades -- that thing was also SCARY FAST as well as somewhat scary to drive in general...the weight balances (or tires, or front suspension, or something) must have ended up kinda out of kilter, it was decidedly on the 'squirrely' side of things but way fun anyway...? ;-)

HAVE FUN with it, until you flip it (or not) and/or get another daily driver?!!

Thanks for the comments. Everything is expensive..just got my 1 piece window kits(eliminates the wing windows)..so as soon as it warms up and stops raining here, gonna start that project. Currently building led strips to install. I like to goto shows and look, but I'd much rather drive than sit around.
