Trying to identify this medal . The maker on the back or name says Stork N.Y. . Originally thought it was from the Junior Order of the United American Mechanics , but the compass on their medals crosses in front of the square ,and this one is in back of the square , also theirs has an arm in the center, and this one has two black Smith tools crossing . Stumped on this one . It's dated 1900, and on the left Engraved the word Prize and on the right Engraved the word
class II. In the top center of the cross Engraved M.T.
The name across the top bar is Geo.Boehner. Amy help is appreciated
United American Mechanics have the compass, square and a hammer in their symbol. The other implement looks to be a soldering iron. I haven't seen the soldering iron as part of the UAM symbols, but it is the closest that I can find.
I haven't seen the Mason's symbol with any of the extras (hammer, soldering iron).
Maybe it is a group with more specific metal working members.
Could be a similar and now defunct group that was considerably smaller or more regional.
Good luck with your search.
