What a fabulous set of dolls. I would say they are Russian made anywhere for 1920-30s . I can't see face on 2nd doll he may be different . I would call them Russian folk dolls and do everything I could to protect them from further damage. If not displayed wrap in acid free paper to store and don't handle them a lot the oil from hands can harm old fabric . Precious. I don't know maker but think it was a cottage industry perhaps . Love them

Manikin, their expressions look kind of modern, especially the smiles look like Howdy Doody, and the hair isn't mohair. Perhaps more 60s-ish?

I think Russian as well. But if you want to be sure you could also ask in the National Costume Doll ID Group on FaceBook, it has knowledgeable people from Russia in it who should be able to tell you more. https://www.facebook.com/groups/nationalcostumedolls

Katherine it is possible I think earlier but maybe the 2nd one who is different is older than rest . I don't think he is same maker . Not sure poster care as they have never commented :-( I always enjoy your fantastic collection !!!

I think they may have been in house with a smoker and what has caused yellowing . They are still wonderful. 2nd dolls face different and shirt made of silk that takes time to deteriorate like it has also .
