Another item inherited by the family in the mid 1970's. This is the less common Canadian pressing of All My Loving / This Boy 45rpm. Fits in nicely with all the Beatle albums I had purchased during the 70's.

I always think of the instrumental version of "This Boy" in "A Hard Day's Night," probably because it accompanies the sequence with Ringo exploring London on his own:

I certainly didn't understand all of the jokes way back when the movie was first released, because I was very young, and some of them were very British.
One of the more amusing ones to me is after a policeman admonishes Ringo for throwing something into the river. After the policeman leaves, Ringo derisively calls after him, "Southerner!" (the policeman as a Londoner was a Southerner, as opposed to Starr who as a Liverpudlian was a Northerner).
I was watching a neo-noir last night, and spied a familiar name in the credits: good old George Martin:

Thanks Keramikos for that link. Early research I found years ago showed there were two releases in 1964 with the orange/yellow swirl label. Stereo and Mono. I never knew which I had. And even with the help of the link you posted, I'm still puzzled, just like you, as to which this record is from. Comparing the etchings on the run off and those listed in your link, is incomplete. I'll add a photo of the side A etching code. The A side etching is basically the same as this one on the list. Matrix / Runout (Variant 1, Side A, Etched): 7XCE-17560A-2Matrix / Runout (Variant 1, Side B, Etched): 7XCE-17560 but different in one way. My etching appears to end in a 5. Unless that's a coincidental scratch in the shape of a 5. Haha!!! Look at it. The B side etching appears to be the same as on the list.
K45389, It sure looks like a deliberate "5" to me.
Given that, I don't see your runout etching in any of the existing discog entries.

All my loving was the title of the first UK EP to be taken from the album With The Beatles. Since Canada had not issued any EP, All My Loving was selected for a realease. This was the first 45 issued after the Beatles performance at the Ed Sullivan show.

K45389, Whoops, the way the information is formatted on that site is a bit confusing, and I won't excerpt all of it here, but at the top of that particular entry is a potential clue:

So, "5" as in fifth pressing?
Ahhhh, that answers that I do believe. From the hand Etched number and the documentation of the added "5", it sure sounds like this is very well a 5th pressing from late 1964. Evidently Capitol Records Canada thought this band was going somewhere and needed to produce more records to fulfill the demand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thanks again for this info. Today I learned more than the past 40 years of trying to find out more about the record.
