Hi there,
I have a Singer year 1898, with the table and and cover box, the machine is in "good shape" after more than 100 years in the family. Serial number in the picture.
Btw I accept any advice for maintenance, or whatever.

Now that we've got that out of the way, you might want to know more about your machine.
You're quite right about the age. Per the Singer no-prefix serial number table at ISMACS, serial number "15719637" would be in this range:

The no-prefix serial number table doesn't provide any information about the model, but an experienced eye can tell that your machine belongs to the VS1, VS2, VS3, 27, 28, 127 and 128 family of vibrating shuttle machines:

It's probably either a model 27 or 28, but you can measure your machine, and compare it with the table in the Wikipedia article to make a final determination.

Too bad I can't edit my comments. All I can do is amend them with a follow on comment.
What I should have said in the manual section is that the only real difference between a model 27 and a model 28 is size. The model 28 is a three-quarters size version of the model 27. Mechanically they're the same, so a manual for one should work for the other.
Bad proofreading and editing will be the death of me one of these days...
