Left behind when both parents died in mid 1980s, bought by my mother for my father for birthday or Xmas present , around mid 1960s remember him using it whilst we were watching television in black and white , before colour tv came out which here in the uk was in 1967 , he had a matching leather covered gas lighter in gold to match it , part of the present I think , but lost years ago. Had a clip to hold cigarettes in place , but it broke off when I used it to put other ecigs inside as I still use e cigs every now and then. Made in England by comoy’s of london.

He must have been a sophisticated fellow, removing that from his pocket to offer someone a cigarette, then lighting it with the matching lighter. A nice gift from your mom. :-)

Thanks all for love's and comments, a guy at work in the offices of the Dunlop rubber company I worked at in 1965 in Erdington. Birmingham had one with the lighter built in to the cigarette case and you pulled it out to refill it.
