Here's another that really needs a good de-greasing after living on a shelf over a stove. This waffle iron is a UNIVERSAL, made by Landers, Frary, & Clark of New Britain, Connecticut, their number E95334. It has nifty red wooden handles and detachable cloth cord with power switch by METEOR, the wall plug has obviously been replaced -- even with that, I didn't plug it in to see if it heats up. Patent dates are 1923/4 but I'd doubt it is really that old -- I'd guess more 1930's...?
Though I don't really make/eat waffles, with those red handles I really *should* clean it up and find it a spot for display in my own red-accented kitchen, but it'd probably just end up all greasy again in no time... <groan><sigh><lol>
That is cool :) Polished up, it would look ok on the side of your fireplace: your guests will wonder what it is !
