I am sorting through my father's US Army memorabilia. I cannot identify this pin. My father served as an officer in WWII in Europe. I believe this pin is from that time. Can anyone help identify?
Thank you for any insight or identification.
US Army 4th Calvary Regiment DUI crest.
Very handsome military shield & great memento of your father's, glad someone here was able to i.d. for you
Thank you so much for the identification Flasharue. My father started (right out of West Point) in the 6th Cav., but must have spent time in the 4th as well because he had multiple well used copies of this pin. I will go back to his service record and try and confirm that for my own piece of mind. Would that 4th Cav. pin have been associated with the 4th Armor Division? He spent much of the war with the 4th Armor Div., of that I am positive. Thank you for this very helpful insight.
