Here is a 6"H speckled green glass parrot with back strip of turquoise blue on a round base, a very rare piece by Ronald Stennett Willson for Wedgwood Glass from his 1970s glass animal series, w/ label & etch imprint on bottom
The colouring on the figure is very on point, and it really makes the bird come alive before your eyes, it must have considerable weight considering his size !~
Lovely colour on this parrot! He's very bright and fitting, and definitely realistic too. I like his pose too, I can imagine him perched there, head to one side listening to something his owner is saying and maybe repeating it at a later date as they do! He's so full of character! XD
Beautiful, reminds me of a Kea a native NZ parrot.
Nice parrot Jenni and I agree with BHIFOS, reminds me of a Kea too.
The correct body, shape and head down planning some destructive action!
So cool! Love it!!!

Phil thank you for your super insightful comment, yes this bird is quite top heavy - with the small base it easily tips over so that I usually lay it down on a soft surface. The speckled green color is so cool isn't it, like raindrops cascading down, then a bolt of solid blue on the back
Lauren indeed this parrot has personality, the head pose is so true of most birds they truly are listeners - and if they are talkers, you never know WHAT they will pick up (often expletives!). I love the tropical green color also, very much a wild bird color. Thank you for your awesome praise
Thanks BHIFOS for your great comment and teaching me about the Kea parrot, I totally agree from looking at photos it appears very similar - perhaps the designer modeled this bird after it, quite possibly. I always love to find a glass parrot because US glassmakers mainly made smaller songbirds & parrots are so gorgeous they deserve their due
Karen I agree about the Kea too, the bent over stance, color, shape & beak are on point there. You have such beautiful wild birds in Aus & NZ that it's kinda sad that in NY our most common bird is the drab little brown sparrow, although they have a chubby cuteness & are fun to watch. This green parrot does look rather aggressive and planning some action lol :) Thanks 4 your fantastic comment & spin on this guy
Thank you vintagelamp for your terrific comment, he is one cool birdie and is quite lovable to me too!
RightWing thanks for your great comment,it is a beautiful green&blue colored bird and what an easy pet, no seed bags for it lol! I used to be a parakeet owner and their upkeep was alot of work, although I miss their chirping, talking ability & amusing personalities
