I found this little cup/bowl today. It has the prettiest design around the top edge and words on the bottom. So I need help with the words located on the bottom. I've tried with no success, maybe someone could use their set of eyes to assist in this puzzle. :-)
Thanks for the love Newfld, fortapache, kwqd, and racer4four.
You don't give the size... But the writing looks like Thaï or Cambodian, and the whole thing like a rice bowl for offerings (Buddhist monks are too wealthy men giving some months of their life as monks for sprituality, and have to beg for their food... In silver bowls, lol!)
Kyratango it is 3 1/2" x 1 1/2". It's small.
raven3766, Beautiful. :-)
kyratango, I've heard about that custom for wealthy Buddhists, but not about some of them using silver begging bowls. Hmmm. };-)
Here are the Thai and Khmer (Cambodian) keyboards if you want to give it a shot:

Then when you think you have something workable, use Google Translate:

keramikos, I believe the bowl is brass and thank you.
raven3766,
I neglected to point out yesterday that some of the engraved characters look like Arabic numerals. That is, the same style of numerals used in most of the Western Hemisphere.
While the Thai written language does have its own traditional numerals, Arabic/Western numerals have been in common use in the modern era:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_numerals
I did a quick check, and if you use the lexilogos Thai keyboard to transcribe the engraved information on the bowl, and then cut and paste it into the Google Translate Thai interface, the latter will attempt to translate it into Roman/English characters.
I am going to try this keramikos and will get back to you.
