    (16 items)

In Maine from spring to early fall towns have a day on the weekend that you can throw out stuff that can’t go with the weekly trash pickup. This is always a great time to find some pretty cool items. So I found this on the side of the road and had to have it. I figured it has potential to become many things or might be a missing piece for someone’s restoration. I can’t find anything to identify its maker. So please help if any of you could solve my mystery. Thanks

      Tailgate?
    2. JSP2912 JSP2912, 3 years ago
Congcu, lol yes of course it’s a tailgate. I did forget to mention I thought it might be just that. My mystery is what type of truck or vehicle does it belong to. (Still laughing at your comment????)

      Manure spreader?
    4. JSP2912 JSP2912, 3 years ago
fhrj2, I would love to know what this actually was on for a vehicle. So I’m not sure if you are being serious on the manure spreader, my gut says you are. I do have a hard time reading sarcasm tho????

My guess some type of restaurant menu hanging from the ceiling for today’s menu special slide missing letters or words??..
    6. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 3 years ago
I was being serious when I suggested it may be off an old manure spreader.

RightWing, yes I’m all about poking and having fun!! Maine is great and I’ll never leave the state, nor do I plan to leave my lil island that I’ve lived my entire life. I’m a big time NH fan, my father grew up in NH and I used to spend most summers there with Grandparents until it was time to hit the blueberry fields and make some school clothes $(hard ass work) Hit me up anytime. Enjoy the day my friend

I raised my two sons in NH. One is still there and the other will be moving back shortly after over 20 years in the army. Great place to bring up kids

truth be told I be-leave this was part of a floor from a truck or car rear section do to the way the rails are in it like a wooden truck bed ..then someone repurpose it for a sign once in its life...imho...later oh ya i like to play over Baily Island when the sharks aren't eating people like when I was there last time...poor girl...rip

fhrjr2,,..that don't count you left us for halfdresssss women and sunshine every day...and shuffleboard ....lol....
    16. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 3 years ago
Rightwing I have no control over those women who are over dressed or the sunshine. Have you ever tried to sweep a foot of sunshine off the driveway? You have it easy with snow and ice. Never mind I will suffer for all of us.

As to this large rusty item -- it looks like the smooth side still has remnants of some kind of (rubber?) material that might have once covered it??? I could go with the tailgate idea (or even manure spreader I suppose?) but for the shape of its ends. Old tailgates, (and even new ones) probably also the few manure spreaders I've ever seen, are rectangular. . . ??

By all means guys have your fun. I’m just happy to have a front row seat to the show. I gotta say tho I must be the true Nor Easter here, who has yet to escape to those sissy climates for any length of time????????
