    This Iris vase is one of my favorites by the God of Glazes Makuzu Kozan. Approximate date is early 1900-1910, when he was deeply influenced by styles popular in Europe.

      this is topnotch an makuza kozan sei , tending to the studio period (precurser), simular pieces were i believe in the Khalili collection

      Thank you very much. Very much appreciated. Yes there are some with similarities with one piece there and it’s a big one too. I love his work with the Fuki-e (sprayed pigment) in this piece.
