      Hi, Sunbabe. :-)

The good news is that I've found a near twin of your machine:

The bad news is that the owner asked their compatriots at the patternreview dot com forum for help identifying it, and got some leads, but nothing definite:

      https://sewing.patternreview.com/SewingDiscussions/topic/94104

At a glance, the only thing I see different from yours is that the housing of the motor assembly is like the machine head itself, black.

Possibly, the motor on your was replaced, either because it failed -- or because it wasn't compatible with the commercial electricity utility available to the owner.

Theirs came with a cord, but it's a 'European' cord, so it was likely made for the European market.

It does seem possible that it's an Italian-made badged machine. Japan wasn't the only country to get into the sewing machine badging business after WWII. Germany and Italy did it as well.

In case you don't know what the term "badged" means with regard to sewing machines:

      https://tumorfarmer.blogspot.com/2018/04/what-is-badged-sewing-machine.html

It does seem likely that your sewing machine is a badged machine, but who actually made it is still a mystery.

I took a look around, and saw a lot of vintage Vigorelli sewing machines, but didn't see any that looked just like yours.

I suspect that it's a fairly early post-WWII clone, because of the black finish with the gold decals. The decal border on the machine bed is reminiscent of Singer's "Paperclips" (but no, your machine isn't Singer-made, because Singer never made badged machines):

      https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/decals/domestics/paperclips.html

You'd probably need to take your sewing machine to a local sew and vac shop for advice if you wanted to get a compatible cord.

      Good luck. :-)

      Sunbabe, You're welcome. :-)

Sorry, I notice in reading back that I made an allusion to the possibility that your machine was Italian-made, but only explored that idea further down.

Ya know, I always like to say that bad editing will be the death of me one of these day. OK, I don't really like to say it, but it's probably true. Oh well, there are worse ways to die. };-)

With regard to the possibility of getting a replacement cord: it's possible that a local sew and vac shop might instead suggest replacing the motor, because that might be easier in the long run.

Also, I should have given you a link to the vintage sewing machine group on Facebook:

      https://www.facebook.com/groups/VintageSewingMachines/

It's a very large group, and they might be able to identify your machine. The group is a 'black box" to me, because not only am I not a member of that group, I'm not even a Facebook user.

Here is my own collection of vintage sewing machine links:

      Good luck again. :-)
