Found this large signed Miriam Haskell brooch at an Antique store 30 yrs ago and its been in my dresser drawer since that day. I don’t think its ever been used, maybe because its quite heavy. I’m not too sure about the age but I’m thinking it’s from the 60’s. I’ve been searching for a while and I haven’t found another one quite like it.
Beautiful M. Haskell brooch, love the array of turquoise stones. Welcome to CW
Newfld & Ms.CrystalShip, thank you for welcoming me!
Tried to love this again. I adore Miriam Haskell. This is so wonderfully unusual as many of her designs used the pearls. It would be helpful to see the mark, that might give a clue to the dating.
Plein-air-painter I added a picture of the signed mark so it maybe easy to date. Thank you for the comment!
I'm no expert and I suggest you consult other sources like the book Jewels of Miriam Haskell, by Deanna Farneti Cera. I think the mark and design date it to 1950s - 1960s. Her designs got simplified in the late 1960s.
