The last shop in the town I live in that repairs kitchen/household appliances like vacuum cleaners, food mixers, toasters and heaters has shut after 70+ years in business fortunately I know one of the owners and was offered some of the old items they had on display in the front window and this is one of them (more to come). This old Philips radio is the same model as the old radio in our house that I grew up with and brought back so many memories I just had to have it. Of course back in those days there was only AM stations available and the short codes for all the ones in NZ are on the dial 2ZP was our local one. Not sure if it works yet I'll have to make up a battery pack as the ones that used to fit are now only a memory. Gave it a big clean-up on the outside today and it looks good.
The last photo is of Bonnie in her cart that allows her to walk, she isn't in it all the time just once a day to give her back legs some movement and exercise. She grumbles about been put in it but seems to enjoy it once in.
Bonnie is just gorgeous - nice radio too :)
Thank Jenni, I should have added that the cart was made by Bonnies Vets children. Shawna loves her as whenever she sees her there is only snuggles and purrs and the kids have heard so a few weeks ago used their fathers new toy ( a 3D printer) to make the cart and it seems to be very helpful as Bonnie is much more mobile even when not in it!
That's really wonderful B, what great caring kids to make life easier for kitty
Bonnie is so fortunate to have people who love her and provide for her special needs. The cart design is ingenious.
Uno (my black and white kitty) says “meow” (hello). :^)
Nice Philips radio,,,kool Kat ,keep on rolling Bonnie
It's the second time I have added a photo of BonBon to my posts and she gets more attention than my stuff....b***** cats!! :)
