Hello I've bought these but heave no clue what they are I've searched the whole of the internet but found nothing that is similar I'm hoping someon maybe able to shed some light to what they are and what they were used for
We had gold digs as teenagers and there was only 1 banque in the area where we could cash in our gold. This is what I remember in the banque. That was in NE Alabama.

Lc Micro Analytical Apothecary Balance Scale maybe own by a fire brick company .. or other lab to check water content or water in the air ....don't real know ...forsure but its in the ball park....lol just don't know which one has the best ball park hot dogs...U
Did you look for markings or patents? With that top, it's very distinctive.

It is a beautiful antique (probably) precision balance scale, looking to be largely complete and intact, that could have been used in lots of different settings beyond those mentioned already. Please treat it as gently as possible, like the precision machine that it is, or you run the risk of inadvertently destroying its most crucial parts! The makers's label should help determine who made it and when...??
