This is an amazing find and I was totally aggressive making sure I got it. This totally ORIGINAL Suffragette Banner was owned and perhaps created by, Dakota Wesleyan Student 1909-1912, Jessie Agnes (Turner) Aaron. The fact this has survived is remarkable, but having the provenance as well is FABULOUS! Framing it in Suffragette colors, a dark purple frame with a sage green mat.

I love the letter of provenance! So interesting…and sad that the female college student had to drop out so her brother could enroll.

Guess you didn't see my note last week. Do you have a stickpin, "Vietnam, Love it or leave it". If not, I'll send this to you.

blunderbuss2 - no. sorry i didn't. Been preoccupied trying to put together our 50th high School reunion... need to pay attention!

Watchsearcher - isn't that a tragedy. She a women's rights advocate, had to leave college so her brother could go. The history of the piece to me - and this goes for a lot of my pieces - just adds so much to my joy of owning them.

Do you want this pin for your collection ? May take awhile to get it sent to you without you having to go to Customs/Duane to pick it up. Not a simple matter to mail anything from here.

blunderbuss2 - 4 months later I see your message. Not sure what pin you are talking about. Sorry I missed this one.

Clk on my profile and there it is. Still have it if you want it. Had a friend who went up to Conn yesterday who could have mailed it. Not easy to send things from here to the States.
