the same/similar globe was used in hanging/swag as well as table lamps; most often the style is referred to as Hollywood Regency and mid-century modern, also iridescent rather than carnival glass but both will work...

No carnival glass but nice mid-century, without seeing the glass in person it is hard to gauge the glass used here but similar to others. This is from the 1970's and the style went on to about the beginning of the very early 80's when styles were changing. By the 90's you could find a lot of these coming up for sale in garage sales. I found a lot. They made hanging lamps mainly in pairs, table lamps and some of the best makers were from italy making tables to match. I am not sure if this one has the diffuser they made, as its hard to tell unless the light is right or taken apart. Some of the tables were interesting because they sometimes came with quality pieces of marble which would cost a fortune for someone to bevel. I used some when the table was not as great for other table tops as they were the best !~
