Spun brass CYMBALS, that is?!! :-) :-) :-)
It's obvious why somebody else tossed 'em, they are all cracked and/or missing a chunk or two so they probably wouldn't be of all that much further use to an actual percussionist/drummer. Fortunately I am not one of those...I just collect cool junk instead...they qualify for that easily enough...? ;-) :-) :-)
The biggest one (first pics) is a PAISTE 2002 16" CRASH. It even has a serial number stamped into it, and is labeled as MADE IN SWITZERLAND. This one is also the least damaged, only having one small nick and one other small crack around its edge. I'll probably hang this one somewhere with something, it certainly still makes a perfectly appropriate noise for my needs...? <lol>
In the last pics are a PAISTE PST5 14" HATS [TOP]. Just the one of a set, marked MADE IN GERMANY, it still has its paper pawnshop tag on it too. It is quite hurt, missing a good bite of its edge with cracks still growing from there. The other one is an 8" SABIAN, it has a crack around its centermost portion a few inches long and buzzes like crazy when struck. Its probably also the most used of the three, its topside ID markings being nearly worn away completely.
Dunno what I might do with those two...somewhere or other I might also have a discarded cymbal stand...?
I like my neighborhood...musicians live here sometimes... ;-) ;-) :-) :-)
That’s some good “junk”.
Love it
These would make some interesting and fun yard junk…especially if you can mount them on a stand of some sort. Nice find!
