    Antique knife I found in my grandparents basement. Don't know much about knifes so any information regarding history/origin/age/value is greatly appreciated. Not sure what type of knife it is but to me, it looks like a letter opener. Brand name looks to be Latama? Latana? Made in Italy.

      I had to google to find out if "Latama" was actually steak, or flatware...now that we're to the flatware I tend to agree with vetraio50. The 'longhorn' and 'cattle brands' decoration fairly well screams "TEXAS" to me though -- maybe a pattern made for a TX steakhouse, or actual ranch, or ???
