i'm determined to open a museum of salt or pepper shakers - NO MATCHED PAIRS ALLOWED! i have so many singular ones which have lost their mates. This is especially nice! it's porcelain, hence 'satsuma style'. The cut-outs remind me of a lot of Hirado pieces, so 'Hirado-style' too.

i don,t know what it is but is signed kuti in the 1970 and on way
it is not that logical to be an salt and pepper shaker because the side is reticulare , the salt will be pouring out sideways
it is stange for an koro without the possibility to detach a lid

      best regards

no, it is a salt shaker. the holes don't go all the way thru the inner sanctum. yes, kutani Satsuma/Hirado Style salt shaker.
