And what would a series of my posts be without an "Art Glass Bowl" (ashtray). This one is a beauty with 3 colours of glass green, yellow and blue and a layer of clear glass. It has lots small scratches on the base but that's OK at least you know it has some age.....how long before copies of these start popping up from somewhere......? There is also a small chip on the top edge. 132mm long, 78mm wide and 46mm high.
That is beautiful !
Almost built like a brick, I love crystal and this is rockin !~
Been so busy, hadn't checked in for some months. Thrilled to see this piece. These are such utter gems. I have maybe ten stowed away, they are so soft and chip so easily, but one day ther greatness will be reognized—and by then, only a few in good shape will remain. My husband invests in municipal bonds. Pffft. I say better investments are real property like pre-egle Taxco, geode bowls, antique silverware, and anything old and Native American that you can afford. It's doubling every few years. Seek out nice Navajo pearls, but be careful; copies abound. The fluted ones are fabulous. Thanks for sharing this lovely pretty.
