I'm undecided about this one that I *might* be able to drag home (free, of course) if nobody else takes it first...??

Probably 1970's or so, (??) I don't even know what "style" it would be considered. (other than *not* particularly one that I would choose, that is...)

BUT, it could be one chair in my house that I *wouldn't* have to worry about somebody else staining, or breaking, or what have you that sometimes happens to chairs...???

The other chair with it (not shown) is really the one I would have wanted, a 40's-50's fully upholstered platform rocker with walnut (probably) arms -- its upholstery even UGLIER than what's on this chair, but looking like it would be comfy enough to not care what it looked like...??? <lolol> (but, of course, that one is already spoken for...<groan>)

    --------------UPDATE------------
the chair did end up following me home, and a new pic seems to show that Woda kitty approves, at least...?? <lol>

It got 'snatched' Watchsearcher, and didn't take that long for Woda to find and try out...apparently he approves, even with the fuggly upholstery... <LOL>

Well, I’m congratulating myself because Woda and I have similar taste! Woda looks in charge of recent furniture acquisitions. :^)

<LOLOL> Watchsearcher!! What makes you think Woda's supervisory role stops with just furniture, though...??? (HE would certainly think otherwise...<rolleyes>)

I can tell by those eyes in pic 1 that Woda is a shrewd observer for stuff that suits his taste, and the “free-er “, the better!

AnythingObscure, Woda is probably thinking that those cane inserts look highly shreddable, regular pedicures or no.
