Here's a fun one -- an old 'expanded steel' personal shopping cart/basket, for folks that live within walking distance of their 'corner grocers'?!!
Seemingly original in its green paint with red wheels, it still has most of a label identifying it as "STURDY-KART" by "J. C. GOSLING SALES CO." of CHICAGO, ILL. I don't know how old it is, but it seems to have a strong 1940's-50's feel to me . . . ???

We affectionately call this type shopping basket an OLC (stands for old lady cart lol), but believe me they come in handy when the car is on the fritz & you need local groceries
Oh, this calls for more sand paper and Rustoleum spray paint! That would be just perfect somewhere in the house (laundry room, maybe?) or possibly on the porch just waiting to be put to use bringing in groceries from the car.

"Here we have a great vintage metal rolling shopping basket caddy. Measures approximately 37 1/2" tall x 15 1/2" wide x 11" deep total. The storage area measures approximately 22 1/2" tall x 14" wide x 10 1/2" deep. Wheels measure approx. 6 1/4" in diameter. This is in vintage pre-owned condition. Estate found. There is normal age related wear/tear and weathering, such as some marks/abrasions and oxidation. Rubber on the wheels have gone brittle over the years, leading to some breaking off. This is in perfect condition for display, as is. Absolutely exudes its era of origin. Being sold exactly as pictured.
