Here is a 1920's GoodYear Tires Spec and Photo portfolio / book that is chock full of original photographs and blueprints and graph charts. It is fully tabbed to allow the user to quickly access specific industry and environment specs for the tires. It appears to be categorized so that an executive could make a technical pitch to various types of industry in transportation (ex: farming vs over the road delivery etc).
There are lots of charts and graphs and many pages of original photographs of various types of transportation using the GY tires.
George M Stadelman was initially a sales exec at the company in Akron before he became President of the company. He passed away not too long after becoming President. It appears that this was his own portfolio. It also contains communications from a person named Sprowl from the Highways Department of the company.
I have a good idea of what this is, and its purpose, but wanted to post it in case someone out there has more info/context to share and can tell me what I have here. This is probably the most unique item I have owned in some time but I am not quite sure exactly what to do with it except enjoy looking at it ;0). It does appear to be a great snap shot of American transportation history.
