One of my favourite types of glass, nice bird, handy it has all the decals.

This has to be some kind of dove or pigeon! I have collared doves that visit all the time and their little plump pearly grey bodies really look a lot like this bird, I adore the soft muted tones of glass, it’s a really nice shade of lavender.

Thank you B. for your wonderful comment, I agree neodymium glass is beautiful and also quite mysterious to photograph...I have a couple other non-US-made animals (we could never master that color here!) in this neo lavender but the blue was elusive to me, even experimenting with different lighting, fortunately got it right this time. And yes, always great to find labels on glass pieces & give credit to the proper glassmaker

Lauren you have identified this birdie for me, pigeon or dove is perfect for that rounded shape! Here in NY we have tons of pigeons, in the City especially, but where I live in suburbia they "go where the food goes" i.e. fast food restaurant parking lots, crowded beaches etc. I do love the grey mourning doves, they have that peaceful cooing sound and are quite gentle & fearful of people a bit. Agree it's a lovely pale lavender, a derivative of purple which is my fave color. Thanks for your always super praise

OK Phil, another vote for pigeon so pigeon it is!! Thank you for your awesome praise for my menagerie, this bird is a nice addition because of its unusual design plus I don't have that many lavender glass animals

Thank you Searching for your marvelous compliments, you are ever gracious and I love it when you enjoy my glass animals & jewelry. Glad this bird ticked all the boxes for you :)
