From the highways and byways of Ohio originally, this sign is an example of one I've somehow been missing from my personal collection of road signs all these years. While very common in OH (and in IL where I grew up, at least) they aren't seen so much down here -- my conjecture (only!) because we so rarely have any measurable snow and crap on the roads themselves to make the standard white and yellow striping difficult to see, thus the additional signs aren't so necessary.
It came to me perfectly legally from another collector of 'road geek' stuff like myself. (along with a bunch of other cool funtoys I'm in process of showing) Measuring 34" x 41", it is an otherwise regulation highway sign, made of thick aluminum with a layer of reflective plastic for the legend on the front.
It will probably soon join its brethren on the backyard fence, I'll need to do some rearranging, but I've been needing to do that anyway...
;-) :-) :-)
----------EDIT----------- New pic added -- it looks great out on the fence with the others (30 or so) in a spot where I can enjoy it with every glance out my back window!! :-) :-) :-)
I'd like to put that on the back of my car :-)
NEW PIC -- I found it a spot!! :-) :-) :-)
THANK YOU Alfie21 (though I'm not sure that'd be legal...?) and vetraio50, Newfld, Watchsearcher, fortapache, blunderbuss2, vintagelamp, & Trey for all y'all's <love it> button taps!!
