These scrolls are so different that can find online. The medium is ink. The actual scroll is made of some kind of fiber that gives off a shiny affect. When I bought them at an estate sale, 10 years ago, I thought the paintings were on fine bamboo strands. Now, I'm rethinking the scroll may be made of silk. The estate sale was for a WW2 veteran, so I'm thinking that these may have come from Japan during the war. I also think that they were sold as souvenir's, 40's style. Anyway, they are cool and in great shape if they actually did come from the 1940's.
