    It has a H87 with ml under it and a 3 on the other side
    It looks as if it might be some kind of socket im not sure never seen anything like it

      Looking at the 5 sided socket and the hook end I think it maybe a manhole cover key and lifter. Just a wild guess.

      If not a manhole tool, I'd guess maybe for some variety of large valve. (water company, refinery, or etc.) The 5-sided 'socket' is the most unusual aspect of it for me, I'm not sure whether I've ever seen (or at least recognized) something like that either...? Thanks for sharing and welcome to CW -- I hope someone comes up with an answer!! :-)

      I wondered about fire hydrants too, but the one I now have has a square fitting for the wrench to open it. I kinda thought most are square, but could certainly be wrong with that???
