I have had this for years, came from my grandmother who lived in California. I’m sure it’s California pottery but cannot find anything like this. Appears to be gold leaf, Pretty large, about 12 inches in length and about eight or 9 inches tall, our family always called it the pregnant horse. Any ideas?
It looks similar to a Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg horse but I don't think it is.
I do think it European. Perhaps a pencil rubbing of the marks on the base will help with info.
Perhaps Freeman McFarlin? Sometimes marked “Anthony’”
luanne8437...I just found this exact horse yesterday. Mine has the markings on the bottom and they say:
HOLIDAY IN
CALIF. #914
I don't know anything about it yet, but all I've searched on it, only the Stig horse come up that looks like it.
