    Russian License Plate

Picked this up today. Someone did a terrible job trying to restore it. Looks like a black sharpie job. But it's gonna hang in the garage as garage art. I'm going to try and remove some of this bad work.

The 99 represents the code for Moscow

I'd be tempted to try a little bit of lacquer thinner on a paper towel to try to clean it, I'm betting I'd like the look better no matter how much of the original black is gone. (but be careful any solvent doesn't also hurt the real paint?!!)

Most unusual license plate find, will look great with your garage art

Thanks..I cleaned off the sharpie, but it was pretty roached and not much black left. I didn't pay much and it's unusual, so still a win. Pics added.
