    I think these might be carte de visites - maybe? or albumen prints. Once again, just going on the fashion, i think it's pretty early. what do you think?

      Either cdvs or cabinet cards (size dependent). Same process just differing size. Both also typically used albumen prints.

      I'd put these both in the 1870s.

      thanks Scott. there were quite a few other photos that we had stuck in the 1870s, but these ones looked older to me - mainly due to the fashions.
