in Very Good condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 1 7/8" D
with Sherman Maker's Mark on back. Minor wear age/usage.

This is a nice Closed Wreath design which I collect in the small to medium range of Sherman pieces which I collect to compliment the larger collection of Siam Bracelets which are the basis of my Siam Red Japanned pieces that I have. There are so many small pieces that Sherman made in small to medium range, a collection would not be just that if it wasn't there to bring out Sherman's range of products. There is just the right amount of ab'd stones to bring out the pinwheel design nicely ! The stones in this brooch are in actuality a very deep and dark siam red. In person the brooch is accentuated by a nice curving which bring out the tiers and domed shape of the long thin navettes amid the other stones. The central round stone has about 9 claws holding it which is a nice Sherman touch to the piece.

The signature in the photo is there but the photo just shows scratches. In actuality the signature does not seem to have any scratches but lightening the photo brought those out while the signature seems to vanish. It is that black. If you hit the signed part once more you can easily see the signature amid the aggrandizement !~ .............H
