    (88 items)

I have a thing for fancy doilies and interesting/colorful/ pretty things. (Who doesn’t?!)
The leather gloves with rhinestone brooch and dried flowers was a gift to me. I put it in a shadow box frame on a reproduction tin ceiling tile and hung on my living room wall above a small chest that serves as a side table.

The ecru doilie with pale pink roses is a favorite of mine….I admire the workmanship and colors.

The pink and clear glass vase was another gift from a dear friend….it reminds me of her every day. It’s shape and color are just perfect for my little grouping.
I would have included a 4th picture to show the vase’s bottom but it’s secured to the table with a couple of dabs of museum putty so my 2 cats won’t knock it over. It’s held firmly for a couple of years and the cats just ignore it anyway, thank goodness.

    Thanks for taking a look. : ^)
    Hope it’s enjoyable!
I’m listing it as a mystery since I don’t know the maker of the glass vase. If anyone knows, let me know.

What a gorgeous assembly of lovely items, the pink glass vase is striking in color and shape, reminds me of an open embrace to the sky :) You are so clever Patricia securing it with putty, great idea that I can use with some of my glass animals that tend to be topplers, thanks!

Searching1, I also am curious about who made it but I’ll probably never know….unless someone here identifies it. I was thrilled when I received it. Thanks for leaving a comment and a Love. :^)

Newfld, I appreciate your comment….the open embrace imagery is so pleasing- I love that idea! I think you will like museum putty…there are several brands of it that I’ve used and work well with just a tiny dab.
      Thanks for the Love!

My mother had an identical doilie that she made but I think it was on a small cushion on top of the back of the couch. She made a lot of them before we remember but I do remember her making some, just forgot which ones. I loved the 3D feeling of this one !~

The vase here makes good sense, pretty in pink and it goes with the doilie so well that you would think they were always together !~

PhilDMorris, I think our mothers and grandmothers were very “crafty” and talented to create such beautiful doilies. I’m glad you have that nice memory of one of your mother’s doilies.
Thank you for the nice compliment and the love!

Thank you, Eileen, for the love and the comment…doilies are little works of art, aren’t they? :^)
Regarding the cats, I haven’t lost a single thing due to breakage by my 2 cats, thank goodness!….the putty holds just strong enough to resist toppling.

Beautiful grouping. I like your style and I love doilies too. I pick them up at thrift and antique stores when they are reasonably priced. I put them under a lot of my collections because they protect the surface and the item I'm displaying and make such a pretty focal point. I just love your shadow box assembly.
