Picked this up because I thought it would look good hanging from the ceiling with my other kitchenalia. I do need to rearrange it a bit as it does not look quite how I would like it a bit> I do use this stuff and will use this pot holder too.
The pot holder is 9" across and perhaps 1/2" tall. It has three feet it sits upon. Not sure how well it would protect a tables wood finish. I think I may put a place mat under it first. Although it would be fine on my baking table. Not a whole lot exciting to say about it but that it is.

I remember my Mom using these for cooling straight-outta-the-oven cakes and cookies, generally with limited success on the cookies anyways... <lol>

OH, and kitty is obviously refusing to be ignored when there's a camera out, upper LH pic3...??? :-) :-) :-) :-)

AO and I are thinking alike. This looks like a rack you would use to cool a cake layer or cookies.

great size for multiple uses; can never have enough cooling, baking, steaming racks or trivets...

Is your cat the 'Collector Inspector' or the new 'Inspector Gadget' ?

That's a nice pot holder. Being that it's round makes me think it's for cooling round cakes
I also like the Northern Pacific boxcar -pic 2.

Thank you very much AO. You found the hidden cat!

Thank you very much Watchsearcher. Seems reasonable.

Thank you very much TallCakes. You are correct. I was cooking and had to use
      ironing trivets.

Thank you very much valentino for not giving away the location of the hidden cat.

Thank you very much alfie. I plan to post the boxcar some time.
