First off, I can not believe it's been 30 years now....gessh! Back in the spring of 1991 the local Lions Club held a charity auction on the local radio station. One item caught my interest. The Lions Club acquired the pennant from the Penguin organization. I won the auction for I believe 30 bucks. A few months later the Penguins won their first ever Stanley Cup. Among the random players who signed the pennant were: #1 Wendall Young, #3 Jim Kyte #5 Gord Dineen, #9 Tony Tanti, #10 Barry Pederson, #16 Jay Cualfield, #24 Troy Loney, #25 Kevin Stevens and #29 Phil Bourque. Also signing the pennant were future HOFers #8 Mark Recchi, #66 Mario Lemiuex and #77 Paul Coffey. Sadly, missing was rookie and yet to be named to the HOF #68 Jaromir Jagr. HOFer #7 Joey Mullen would have been nice too, but oh well. This has been hanging on the inside of a bedroom closet door for 30 years now, in the dark, away from damaging light.
Nice piece
