Here are a few pieces from my collection.These are VERY hard to photograph.They are much brighter than they appear here.The red and green bottom right is nicknamed Christmas ore.The one on the stand has a piece of esperite in it.The esperite is actually a yellow but would only show up as green in the pic.It is the part that looks kinda like a flying dragon.Esperite is one of the rarest minerals I own.You can see it in the last pic as white under natural light.I like to put these under the short wave uv and look for figures ... kinda like looking at clouds.

So very cool. Where do you find these? My daughter and I are going beachcombing in Newport, OR this weekend. I heard it was the best place in Oregon for finding agates. Can't wait.
Agates are gorgeous !! I've always been a fan.Here is a link about the Franklin minerals.Some of these are only found in Franklin Nj 07416.I have a couple of hundred of these.Mostly the more common ones but very good quality.I've got a few of the rarer ones.I had a guy from the museum take a look at these and the most valuable he said was worth between one and two thousand dollars.He offered to make a phone call that would get me a grand for it that night.It is part of my family passed down collection...couldn't part with it!BTW Thanks for the love and comment !!
