While I'm on the subject of my FOURWAY beacon, here's a couple quick looks at the flasher box that controls the light, which will get mounted to my carport wall instead of as shown here atop a pile of other stuff. ;-) :-)

It is a heavy duty weatherproof cast aluminum box with hinged locking door, measuring about 12" x 14" x 6"d. Its design is a simple contemporary one with only the words "TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL" on its door in raised letters. No other marks to suggest exactly who made it or when, cabinets just like this have been made by many supply companies over the years with or without any lettering or maker's logos on them and in fact are commonly in use all over the place to this day, containing a wide variety of equipment for a myriad of uses. This one is slightly scuffed up on its exterior gray paint but is very likely NOS otherwise, probably not having seen duty on a pole anywhere.

Pic 1, inside it, are a wiring connection block, circuit breaker, space for 2nd breaker, and socket bracket for what's known as a "204 Flasher", which is an industry standard plug-in module used in all kinds of traffic applications. Here, that is the thing seen vertically near the center, the particular unit has twin red LED's on its frontside which show what it is doing. (look closely at pic 3, the innermost one is lit in the photo) Pic 4 shows it unplugged.

There is obviously enough extra room in there so I could eventually install a (electro-mechanical, of course?!) timer switch to turn the whole thing on/off for me automatically, if I should ever decide I want to . . . ??? ;-) ;-) ;-)
