This came in a box of junk from an elderly lady's sewing room that also contained a 1906 Singer sewing machine in a treadle.
Lightweight stamped metal formed into a hollow triangular tube with transverse slots in alternating high-low arrangement. Slots are not sharp or canted as a file or rasp would be. Small ovoid painted wood handle, "Austria Patent" is stamped in the metal near the tip Units on backgrounds are inches.
