    It's very hard to see because it's so small, but there is the word BAY scratched or stamped into the foot rim of this little duck. i found 4 of them the other day and went back today and found this one. any idea about that word? this same duck was made by Bauer and some other california potteries back in the 1940s/50s.

      Well I have two of a set - one is the same pose as yours and the other is looking up, mine are off-white and yes I would say California pottery but no clue as to the bay mark.
