Nice work on the design of this one, a beauty !~
Love the pose, reminds me of a swan, the way they rear up like that. That’s a really nice soft shade of brown she has too- I can’t tell if she’s just landed in the river or is taking off from it! :D
Quack Quack
Beautiful !

Thanks Phil for your great compliment, I really love this duck's open winged design too, very unusual & very Murano style! Glad you enjoyed
Lauren excellent observ & wonderful comment, he's certainly in a swan flapping pose - but of course the face is quite 'ducky.' Nice imagery of this bird beside the river, you're so perceptive. I love the Murano brown tones, this glassmaker Nason favored brown and also grey animals, I have a few but would love to get more in future
Lol jb, I can just hear this bird quacking away!! Thank you for bringing me a much needed smile today & for your very fun comment
Alfie thanks very much for the fab compliment & finding this Murano duck beautiful, he is certainly an imposing piece and I was so relieved he arrived in one piece - though the wings look fragile they are actually a pretty thick glass fortunately
Thank you vintagelamp for your marvelous comment & I'm so glad you loved this brown ducky! I will need a really strong new cabinet for larger glass animals like this, he is now gracing my credenza - oh well, if Santa can't get me a good one this year (holidays are super expensive for us with all the gifting & tipping folks like our postal people who are fantastic) I will take pix of the animals in my big solid wood credenza which has glass doors & holds quite alot of my animal overflow
Many thanks Bruce for the kind love for this Murano duck, thought that 'Halloween brown' was an appropriate color for this weekend & hope you have a fun day!
Thank you so much Trey for the love for this Murano duck, you are truly kind and I'm so happy that you liked this
Jenni the posture of this duck is fantastic isn't it?
Nason works seem so simple sometimes yet demonstrate immense artistic and technical skill.
Oh yes Karen this is a super pose with the upstanding position, & I fell in love with the outstretched wings but thought, how can they ship this without breaking - turns out the wings are like triple coated glass and very strong. Nason does make fab animals because they LOOK like animals, unlike alot of far out Murano pieces. Great observ & super comment thank you so much
