    i don't know much about these but was very happy to find this old piece framed nicely between two sealed glass pieces to maintain visibility w/ out messing with it. can anyone tell me about it? I'd love to know what it says or is about and when it was made.

      Indian miniature painting in Mughal style with Arabic script.

      thanks Kevin! it's not really miniature. the paper is 12 inches long by 6.5-7 inches wide.

      it is called a miniature!

      This is probably a provincial piece from the 1600-1700s. It's a recurring theme of an emperor and his queen and harem or attendants.
