We got this ceramic plate through multiple relatives though it was originally the possession of my fiance's Uncle Herbie who lived in Jenkintown, PA, and have been able to find nothing on it online. We have found small 3in medals and coins with this image but not a 12in round ceramic plate. It has been in the family for years and we are curious as to whether or not this might have been the model for the coins or something else. We researched Pietz and see he had a large body of work and created designs for several coins. It would be great to find out a little more about this to add to the family history. (Herbie was a comedy writer in Hollywood for a time and personally knew George Burns, Jean Harlow and more)
