Still in the box it came in, it cost somebody all of $9.99 at a store called "Jack's" according to its price tag. It truly looks like it has barely been used, everything being so clean and all. Works perfectly and is indeed whisper quiet as it says on the box. The $2 bill is for size reference, the fan itself is about 5" across.
This is probably barely old enough to be 'collectable', I'll guess late 1980's to 1990's in actual age, since I think I recall GALAXY made lots of different household fans sold in discount stores starting maybe in the 70's when many of their models featured translucent blue fan blades (I have one of those too, a larger model) which eventually transitioned to the more brown/beige color schemes as this one -- that's just my conjecture based on memories that may be faulty...? No matter if it is a collectors item or not, I've actually found uses for it because it turns out the little sucker is quite convenient when one just needs to keep a little bit (literally) of air moving somewhere -- it is GREAT for that! :-) :-) :-)
---------EDIT------- I just noticed this fan has a handwritten date on its bottom -- 1983 -- so I guess I wasn't too far off in my guess?!! :-)
