This is a Jay Flex sterling silver necklace & earring set and a pin of unknown origin. They were my grandmother’s and may have been purchased at Eatons of Canada. Any idea when they were made? Thanks!

Thanks, why do you think that? Are there online catalogues I can look at?

No, most sherman collectors also have Jay Flex as I do. I have one of these more elaborate necklaces also. Gustave Sherman worked for Jay till just after the war and started his own business then. His early work was quite like Jay Flex until the early 50's and then his business exploded with highly elaborate sets. Both makers left no clues or records so most is guess work. There simply are no records as both would be welcome if there were !~

Gustave Sherman was a salesman for jay-flex until he opened his business just after the war in about 1947. Both were sold at Eatons, The Bay, Simpsons. I have one of Sherman's pins about the earliest and quite simple very like jay-flex work at that time.

Thanks! Do you think the pin is a different brand / artist altogether? I guess there is no easy/ inexpensive way to value all of these pieces.
