Floosy

I have no idea when Auntie Margaret acquired this, but after 1970 for sure. It draws air from below, and blows out very cool air, much better than a pedestal fan. Just needs an aspidistra in a brass pot on top. So priveleged to have it in our 1950’s timber house in Queensland, Australia.
This fan is a keeper, what a beaute !~
Its a "hassock fan" -- intended more to circulate air within a room than to actually make a 'breeze', in an era when ceiling fans were decidedly out of style and household air conditioning wasn't nearly as universal as it now is. They also found much usage in office type environments, where the breeze from a conventional table or floor fan could tend to blow papers from desktops, etc. Do you know what company made yours??
Wow must be a “over a little and down under “thing
I’ve never seen one before
