This 2"W dimensional brooch has an open winged American eagle, star and the US flag colors with the motto E Pluribus Unum ("one from many", US motto since 1776), on goldtone. Created during WW2 by Accessocraft (1935-1998) who made many WW2 designs (see pic taken from book American Costume Jewelry by Brunialti) and inscribed For Kay Dunhill by Accessocraft on back. Kay Dunhill was a 1940s fashion designer whose line was carried by Franklin Simon
**VETERANS DAY WISHES TO ALL WHO SERVED AND THEIR FAMILIES**
Very nice and appropriate piece for this time of year and stuff like Armistice day. It’s a really nicely made brooch and the somber reason for it is very bittersweet, especially for people who’ve had someone lost/or served in ANY war or conflict- very thoughtful!
Many thanks all for the veterans love

Thank you Lauren for your very sweet and considerate comment about remembering all the veterans of all wars, that is really the spirit of our Veterans Day and esp for the older vets still living, it is wonderful to see how they value peace so highly after all the conflict they endured. I'm so glad you liked this Accessocraft pin, these were called War Relief jewelry and in the last photo actress Vivien Leigh is wearing their British War Relief design. It was lucky to find this brooch in good condition since it is @80yo
Thank you all for the patriotic love
