Red and Cream Bowl

I am assuming this is Japanese but it could have come from another well known glass centre as it is a classy piece. It had a particular other purpose of course but I don't think it has aver being used as one. I have another beautiful one from Murano and it has had a lot of use and there are tiny pit marks in the bottom of the bowl. 145mm wide and 97mm high again a very chunky piece.
